BIRDENA ADDIE HURT

The funeral for Birdena Addie Adams Hurt, 92, will be 1:30 p.m. today at Redinger Funeral Home Chapel, Seiling. The Revs. Clyde Irving and Roland Luelf will officiate. Burial will be in Brumfield Cemetery.

She was born Sept. 11, 1914, on a farm southeast of Seiling to Benjamin Harrison and Bertha Mae Connelly Adams and died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at Seiling Nursing Center.

She attended school in Fonda, Pumpkin Ridge and Con 6. She attended Fonda Church.

She married Leo J. Hurt Jan. 9, 1932, in Fairview. They have farmed and ranched on the family farm east of Seiling since they married. She was active with Seiling Band Booster Club. They owned and operated Hurt’s Dairy Boy in Seiling in the mid-1960s.

Surviving are her husband, Leo; one daughter, Loretta Froling of Seiling; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter, one sister, three brothers and two great-grandsons.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Brumfield Cemetery or Area Medical Foundation.
