Graveside services for Jean (Mullins) Hooten, 86, of Canton, OK will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, August 25, 2008 at Fountain Cemetery west of Canton with Steve Driskill officiating. Services under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton.

Jean was born March 18, 1922 at Canton, OK to Benjamin Wesley and Mabel Hattie (Curtis) Robinson. She departed this life on Friday evening, August 22, 2008 at Enid, OK.

Jean graduated from Con #6 High School west of Canton in 1940 and attended Beauty College in Oklahoma City. She married George Mullins on New Years Eve in 1941. George was in the Air Force and together they were stationed in many places around the country. In 1977 she married Lloyd Hooten, who preceded her in death in 1991. Jean owned and operated the flower shop in Canton from 1977 through 1995.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Lloyd Hooten; Survivors include two daughters, Pat Evans and Bennie Mullins, both of Enid, OK; one brother, Bud Robinson and wife Darlene of Canton, OK; three grandchildren, Christi Evans of Enid, OK, Terri Thompson and husband Jeff of Enid, OK, and Joe Evans currently serving our country in Iraq. Four great-grandchildren, Kylee and Kaden Thompson, Brady Evans, and Zane Evans. Many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the S.P.C.A. Chapter in Enid, OK. Condolences to the family may be made online at Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home.
