Marian Ellen (Pratt) Holsapple was born on Oct. 18, 1946 to William Pratt, Sr. and Iris Irene (White) Pratt in Clinton, OK. She departed this life on Dec. 18, 2010 in her home surrounded by her family. She married Fred Holsapple on July 9, 1965 in Clayton, New Mexico. They made their home east of Oakwood where they farmed for 40 years. She enjoyed her children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom, she loved making quilts and blankets for. She had five daughters, one son, and one nephew who she raised as her own.

She is survived by her husband Fred Holsapple Oakwood, OK; five daughters, Lorraine Holsapple, Oakwood, OK, Sheila Miller and husband Marc of Watonga, OK, Judith Holsapple of Enid, OK, Iris Holsapple of Oakwood, OK and Susan Holsapple of Oakwood, OK; one son, W. Eugene Holsapple, Canton, OK; nephew, William (Chugo) Howell and wife Nichole; 21 grandchildren; two step granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; three step great- grandchildren; two sisters, Beljean Williams and Terry Waterman both of Clinton, OK; one half brother, William Pratt Jr of Tahlequah, OK; many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Irene Pratt, an infant sister Loretta, two infant brothers Michael and Junior, three sisters Iva Yellowman, Phyllis Hayden and Lela Howell; one brother Tirador Pratt.

Wake services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Monday, December 20, 2010 at Canton Native American Community Center with Pastor Harold Hook officiating. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Oakwood Auditorium with Brother Clyde Irving officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery near Oakwood, OK under the direction of Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK. Condolences may be made online at Haigler-Pierce Funeral Home.
