Thelma Jean Franco, 83, of Dewey, Oklahoma, died Friday, January 24, 2020 at The Journey Home.

Mrs. Franco was born June 19, 1936 in Fall River, Kansas to Robert Lane and Lela Mae (Freeman) Fluty. She attended school in Dewey, Oklahoma graduating from Dewey High School in 1954. She attended college in Wichita, Kansas. She and Virgil Franco were married and raised their family of three sons and one daughter in the Dewey area. Mrs. Franco enjoyed a career as office manager in the Oklahoma Tag Agencies in Bartlesville and Dewey, Operating Engineers 641 and at the A & D Center. She was a member of the Jay-cettes, and was a past member of the Dewey Board of Adjustments.

Mrs. Franco was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Charles and Robert Fluty and one sister Melba Fluty. She is survived by her three sons, Joe Franco of Bartlesville, Kerric Franco of the home; Mark Franco of Dewey, daughter, Angela Still of San Antonio, Texas, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date with interment at Dewey Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the DAV Chapter 65, 300 Angus, Dewey, OK 74029 or to The Journey Home, 900 NE Washington Blvd. Bartlesville, OK 74006.
