Retta Tibbetts Reece

August 30, 1899 ~ July 10, 1985

Seiling – The funeral for Retta Tibbetts Reece, 85, will be 10 AM Saturday at the Redinger Funeral Home. The Rev. Irvin Stanke will officiate. Burial will be in the Brumfield Cemetery.

Reece died Wednesday, July 10, 1985 at Derby, Kansas.

She was born August 30, 1899 in Dublin, Mexico. She moved to Oklahoma in 1902 and attended school in Dewey County.

She married Leadreau Tibbetts on April 10, 1917 at Fairview. They made their home in Seiling.

In 1948 she married Frank Reece in Hemphill County, Texas.

She was a member of the Christian Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Arlene Davies, Roger, Arkansas; two sons, Ellsworth Tibbetts, Derby, Kansas, and Wallace Tibbetts, Canton; seven grandchildren, 11 great – grandchildren; three great – great – grandchildren; a sister, Avis Gilchrist, Taloga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, one great – grandchild, two brothers and seven sisters.
