Connie Mae (Hymer) Hollenback

May 14, 1936 ~ January 03, 2021

Connie Mae Hollenback, of Seiling, passed from this life on January 3, 2021 at the age of 84. She was born to John Jackson Hymer and Rhoda Rena (Hite) Hymer on May 14, 1936 at the home. Connie grew up in the Seiling area, graduating from Seiling High School with the Class of 1954. Just after graduation, on May 20, 1954 she married Harold Hollenback, Jr. in Alva, OK. To this union four children: Deborah L., Lea Kay, Donita Rae, and Jackie Harold were born. Connie worked as a Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) and Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for Seiling Nursing Home and Seiling Municipal Hospital for many years. Her main occupation however was being a wife, mother, and especially grandma. Connie liked gardening, crocheting, and loved to cook (especially trying new recipes.) Connie was an avid OU fan. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Church of the Nazarene.

Connie was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rhoda Hymer; sister Sherry Hymer; daughter Donita Hollenback and son, Jackie Hollenback; and a grandson John Wayne Sessoms.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Harold Hollenback, Jr. of the home; daughter Deborah Irving and husband Bruce of Seiling, OK; daughter Lea Kay Roe and husband Jeff of Chester, OK; brother, Lonnie Hymer of Cordell, OK, as well as four grandchildren: Derrick, Bryce, Celia, and Jodi; eight great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
