Ronald Jay Goldston

Graveside military rites for Ronald Jay Goldston, 60, of Taloga will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, in Brumfield Cemetery, Seiling, with the Seiling VFW Post 9524 and Seiling American Legion Post 69 in charge. Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.

He was born Dec. 20, 1947, in Marlow to John and Bonnie Cox Goldston and died Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008, in Washita County.

He lived in Marlow, then later moved to Dennison, Texas, and moved to Seiling in 1964. He graduated from Seiling High School in 1968, where he was active in auto mechanics and FFA. He served in the Army in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged as a SP4 in 1975. He married Mary Ann Sexton. He later married Rita Hawkins July 12, 1981, in Seminole, where they made their home, and moved to Seiling in 1986. They moved to Taloga in 1991. He worked as a ranch hand several years, then worked in the oil fileds. He was employed as a driller for Unit Drilling.

Surviving are his wife, Rita Goldston of the home; one daughter, Ronna Goldston of Enid; two sons, Ronald Goldston Jr. of Longdale, and Jesse Goldston of Vinita; two step-children, Donna Hawkins of Seiling and Kenneth Hawkins of Hominy; one sister, Alice LiVecchi of North Collins, N. Y.; two brothers, Charles Goldston of Seiling, and Dickie Goldston of Buffalo; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one sister, and one brother.
