The funeral for Doris E. Condreay, 98, will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Elm Grove Church, Seiling. The Rev. Orville White will officiate. A private family burial will follow in Brumfield Cemetery, Seiling. Arrangements are by Redinger Funeral Home, Seiling.

She was born Jan. 3, 1909, near Chester to Bertie Robert and Belle Claricy Cokerham Louthan and died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at Fairview Fellowship Home.

She was raised in the Chester community, attended Lakeside school and graduated from Seiling High School.

She married Daryl Condreay Oct. 26, 1927, in Chester where they made their home. He died May 15, 1955.

She was postmaster at Chester for eight years and was a rural mail carrier out of Chester for 24 years, retiring in 1968. She was a member of Elm Grove Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Lois Roth and Emilie Carol Condrea, both of Pueblo, Colo.; two sons, Dennis Condreay of Chester, and Duane Condreay of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Florence Paris of Fairview, and Flossie Hartzell of Red Oak, Texas; one brother, Virgil Louthan of Chester; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Daryl, she was preceded in death by one son and six brothers.
