Jesse Conley, 80, of Fairland, Oklahoma, formerly of Salina, Oklahoma passed away on October 26, 2009 in Fairland, Oklahoma. Jesse was born on March 19, 1929 in Kenwood, Oklahoma, the son of Columbus M. Conley and Idell (Gammel) Conley. Jesse graduated from Kansas High School in Kansas, Oklahoma. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Navy, then also serving in the United States Army attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and going on to serve in the Oklahoma National Guard. Jesse worked as a welder by trade in addition to his military service.

Funeral Services for Jesse will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2009 in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel in Pryor, Oklahoma. Interment will follow with military honors in the Welch-Prairie Cemetery at Kenwood, Oklahoma. Arrangements in Pryor are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service.

Jesse is survived by his wife, Barbara (Blood) Conley; two sons, J.D. Conley of Salina, OK, Ronie and wife, Lynn Conley of Salina, OK; one daughter, Jerrie Childers of Broken Arrow, OK; one brother, Doyle Conley of Rose, OK; two sisters, Daisy Jones of Pryor, OK and Dorothy Williams of Salina, OK; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; several other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jim Conley.
