Dee Scott

Dee Scott, age 79 of Eucha, Oklahoma, died on Monday September 7, 2009 at the Grove General Hospital. The daughter of John Henry Phillips and Mary Gladys Robertson, Dee was born on February 2, 1930 in Spavinaw, Oklahoma. Dee married John Henry Scott Sr., on November 22, 1947, in the Topsy Assembly of God Church in Topsy, Oklahoma. John preceded Dee in death in June of 1996. In retirement Dee loved fishing, gardening and cooking for her family. Dee quilted at the Topsy Assembly of God Church were she had been a member for many years.

Surviving are her four children; Sherry Johnson and her husband William, John Henry Scott, Jr. and his wife June, Linda Henson and her husband Randy, Tony Paul and her husband Benny all of the Topsy, Oklahoma area. Three sisters and three brothers; Robert L. Phillips, Ernestine Wright, Lawrence McCail Shirley Fowler, James McClain and Loretta Tugman, fourteen grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay, Oklahoma. Funeral services have been scheduled at 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at the Topsy Assembly of God Church with Reverend Bill Emert officiating. The interment will be in the Mose Ridge Cemetery. The services are under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Oklahoma.
