Juanita R. "Nita" Hampton

Juanita R. Hampton, Claremore resident died Sunday Morning February 27, 2011 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born February 24, 1936 in Avondale, AZ to her parents, Sherman and Myrtle (McRae) Buzzard. Nita graduated from Jay Schools and later worked for American Airlines as a Data Processing Agent. She married Millard Hampton on September 30, 1965 in Ohio.

Nita enjoyed playing Bingo, gardening, fishing, hunting and processing deer, leatherwork, quilting, and making jewelry, as well as traveling, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Lenora Rogers and Joyce Annette Mead.

Nita leaves many loving memories with her family, husband, Millard, of the home; son, Sonny Hampton, of Claremore; three daughters, Wanita Iranmanesh and husband Mahmood of Los Angeles, CA, Sonja Presley and husband Tim, of Grove, Sharlin Combest and husband Rocky, of Claremore; brother Sonny Buzzard, of Eucha; sister Mary Lou Davis, of Miami; grandchildren, Michael Presley, of Grove, Kimberly Presley, of Monticello, AR, Daniel Presley of Eucha, Kayla Hampton, of Claremore, Jeffery McKay, Kasey Combest, and Tristin Hampton, all of Claremore; 10 great-grandchildren; as well as many other loving relatives and numerous friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thursday March 3, 2011 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday March 4, 2011 at the Assembly of God Church in Jay; Pastor George Davis will be officiating. Interment will follow at Mose Ridge Cemetery.
