Eva Lee Ballou King Terhune, 78, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012 in Vinita, Oklahoma. She was born on March 23, 1934 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, the daughter of Nelson Ballou and Sarah (Sanders) Ballou. She married Davis King on January 14, 1953, he preceded her in death. Eva married Raymond Terhune on January 17, 1997.

Eva enjoyed going to church and taking care of her family. She enjoyed gardening and her flowers. Eva was a wonderful cook and a talented quilter. Eva had worked in area nursing homes as a certified Nurses Assistant and a certified Medication Aide. She was a lovely lady who so many people loved and admired. She will be so very missed.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with John Foreman and Rev. Stanley Grass officiating. Interment will be in the Euwasha Cemetery at Kenwood, Oklahoma, with casket bearers David Jordan, Jerry King, Robert Thompson, Rufus Ballou Jr., Mitch Smith and Jim Kingfisher. Honorary casket bearers are Morgan Brown and Patrick Jinkerson.

She is survived by her children, Reva Cochran of Chouteau, OK, LaDonna Maldonado of Locust Grove, OK, David L. King of Tulsa, OK and Barry King of Kenwood, OK; Her step-children, Joe, Brian and Oscar Terhune of Pryor; her sisters, Maggie Kingfisher of Salina, OK and Nancy Hesser of Colcord, OK; her grandchildren, Davina Jordan, Amanda McCarter, David King, Valerie King, Kimberly King, Jerry King, Justin Maldonado, Willona Smith, Candace Maldonado, Sherry King, Anthony Maldonado, Nigel King and Barrie Tsosie; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, Arrayah Kay Lee Spradlin; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Davis King in 1991; her second husband, Raymond Terhune in 2007; her parents, Nelson and Sarah Ballou; one brother, Rufus Ballou, Sr.; two sisters, Ema Ballou and Liza Ballou.
