Brian Derick Kirk, 29, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, September 6, 2010 in Baptist Integris Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He was born on September 29, 1980 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the son of Ricky Ray Kirk and Kimberly Ann (Hughes) Kirk. Brian was a lifelong resident of Mayes County. He grew up and attended school at Salina, Oklahoma. He enjoyed working on small engines. Brian loved the outdoors, spending time fishing and hunting, especially enjoying coon hunting. He loved his family and will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 10, 2010 at 10 a.m. in the Kenwood Gymnasium with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Interment will be in the Euwasha Cemetery at Kenwood, Oklahoma.

The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman’s Funeral & Cremation Service.

Brian is survived by his father, Rick Kirk and Cindy Armontrout of the home; his mother, Kimberly Kirk of Colcord, OK; brother, Ty Kirk of Colcord, OK; Maternal Grandmother Ruth Hughes of Colcord, OK and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded by his maternal grandfather, Lester Hughes and paternal grandparents, Ellis and Edith Kirk.
