Bob Blackbear, 59, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 in Kenwood, Oklahoma. He was born on August 2, 1953 in Kenwood, Oklahoma, the son of Claude Dry and Nora Jean Sapp. Bob married Rosetta Mae O’Field on June 15, 1973 in Kenwood, Oklahoma. She preceded him in death on September 22, 2012.

Bob worked for Simmons Foods in the sanitation department. He was a member of the Steeley Baptist Church. He enjoyed softball and watching football. He especially enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing sports. Always the proud grandpa, he will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the Steeley Baptist Church with Rev. Richard Soldier officiating, obituary read by Chris King. Interment will be in the Euwasha Cemetery at Kenwood, Oklahoma with Martin Blossom, Rocky Carroll, Jimmy Davis, Cornelius Smith, Michael Jumper and Bryant Smith serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer is Jerry Blossom.

A Wake service will be held at 7 p.m. at Steeley Baptist Church.

He is survived by his children, Jonathan and wife, Melody Blackbear of Locust Grove, OK, Jeremy Blackbear of Kenwood, OK, Carmellita Vann of Kenwood, OK, Julia Blackbear of Kenwood, OK, Amelia and husband, Justin Morris of Kenwood, OK and Amanda Blackbear also of Kenwood, OK; brothers Curtis and wife, Liddy Dry of Salina, OK, Virgil and wife, Kim Dry of Oaks, OK, Floyd Dry of Pryor, OK; sisters, Carol and husband, Robby Chumwalooky of Salina, OK, Susan Pickup of Pryor, OK, Glenda and husband, David Turner of Colcord, OK, Linda Dry of Salina, OK, Sandra Turner of Salina, OK, Helena and husband, Marvin McCoy of Marble City, OK, Roberta and husband, Billy Jo Sapp of Salina, OK, Barbara and husband, Jess Jumper of Kenwood, OK, Brenda Jumper of Kenwood, OK and Maudie Foreman of Kenwood, OK; 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude Dry and Nora Sapp; his wife, Rosetta Mae O’Field; son, Patrick Blackbear; one daughter, Kayla Blackbear.
