Donnie Donahoo

June 3, 1936 ~ April 3, 2011

ENID - Funeral service for Donnie Donahoo, 74, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Grayson Lucky and Rev. Susan Southall officiating. Graveside committal service will be at 3 p.m. in Stafford Cemetery, Clinton, Okla., under the direction of Anderson - Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be 6-7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Donnie was born June 3, 1936, in Elk City to Joe Kirby and Nellie Marie (Algrim) Donahoo and died Sunday, April 3, 2011, in Enid, Okla.

Don graduated from Elk City High School. On Dec. 27, 1958, he married Lanora Miller in Arapaho, Okla.

Don graduated from Oklahoma State University with a degree in Agriculture. The family moved to Enid in the mid- 1970s, where he was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture Natural Resource Conservation Service.

Don was a member of First United Methodist Church, Enid Noon Lions Club, Oklahoma Lions Service Foundation Board, Past District Governor of the Lions Club and a 4-H leader. Don loved spending time with his family and collecting antiques.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Don is survived by his wife, Lanora of the home; children, Randall Donahoo of Stillwater, Okla., and Tracy Lane (Scott) of Claremore, Okla.; three grandchildren, Emily, Tyler and Travis Lane of Claremore; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Lions Service Foundation, Lions Boys Ranch or Lions Eye Bank.
