Betty Jean (Schoonmaker) Williams

November 8, 1927 ~ April 20, 2022

Betty Jean Schoonmaker-Williams placed her hand in the Lord's hand on April 20 and joined her husband Leon in heaven.

Born on Novemver 8, 1927, to farmers John and Zelma (Egelston) Schoonmaker, Betty was one of four sibblings. Betty graduated from Putman High School in 1944.

On December 23, 1944, Betty married the late Nelson Leon Williams of Lenora, OK. Betty and Leon farmed until moving to Enid in 1954. Betty became an accomplished office manager, accountant and, later in life, business owner. Over the years the family lived in Enid, Wichita, Tulsa, then upon retirement in 1989 they moved back to Enid.

Betty is survived by son Deryle, sister Nila Haiduk, three grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandchild, with many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Mound Valley Cemetery, Thomas OK.
