The funeral service for Elmer "Lloyd" Whitson, age 64, of Enid, was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 14, 2000 in the Ladusac-Evans Chapel with Rev. Don Tines officiating.  Burial was in the Moorewood Cemetery, Moorewood, Oklahoma south of Leedey under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Lloyd was born June 17, 1936 in Moorewood, Oklahoma to Jesse Merrill and Theo Coen Whitson.  He died Tuesday, September 12, 2000 in Integris Bass Baptist Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma.

Lloyd had worked on a seismograph crew all over the country, including Alaska, before he retired.

His parents and brother, Jess preceded him in death.

Survivors include two sisters, Addie Whitson of Enid, Oklahoma, and Grace and husband, Donnie Chappell, of Durham, Oklahoma; a brother and his wife Bill and Lee Whitson of California; a sister-in-law, Bessie Whitson, of Grandfield, Oklahoma; our nieces and one nephew along with other relatives and friends.

Memorial may be made to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Cancer Division.
