Beulah Belle (Anderson) Sharp Stiles

Beulah Belle Sharp Stiles was born January 7, 1896 to John and Lillie Anderson at Dennison, Texas and died May 15, 1987 at Sayre Memorial Hospital at the age of 91 years 4 months.

In 1916 at Maude, Oklahoma, she became the wife of W.I. Sharp, a Baptist preacher. Waiting at home to welcome a new mother and little sister, Vivian, were 10 Sharp children, Andrew, Tom, Jack, Colby, Joe, Floris, Nora, Emma, Ida and Grace. They added to this already large family three children, olivia, Steve and Paul. In 1924 she moved with her family to a farm near Moorewood where they made their home until Mr. Sharp's death in 1943. She then moved to Elk City where she met and married C.J. Stiles. In the early 1950;s they moved to Oklahoma City. After Mr. Stiles' death in 1972, she made her home with her daughter, Vivian, until 1981 at which time she moved to Town Hall Estates in Sayre, Oklahoma.

Mom was saved at an early age. She served her Lord for many years as a preacher's wife and was a longtime member of the Moorewood Baptist Church. At the time of her death, she was a member of the Portland Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, one brother, eight step- children and two grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters, Vivian of Oklahoma City, and Olivia of Moorewood, Oklahoma, two sons, Steve of Hammon, Oklahoma and Paul of Amarillo, Texas, four step-children, Grace Cordum of California, Nora Swafford of Shawnee, oklahoma, and Larry and Jerry Stiles of Kentucky, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren plus a host of step- grandchildren and their families.

Funeral services were held at Moorewood Baptist Church with Fred Johnson (a grandson) officiating assisted by Bart Montgomery and Jack Downey. Interment followed in the Moorewood Cemetery under the direction of Martin Funeral Home.
