J.D. Marvin
(August 23, 1938 - October 9, 2016)

Graveside services for J.D. Marvin, 78, of Oklahoma City, OK, formerly of Canton, OK were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Antioch Cemetery near Butler, OK with Steve Driskill officiating. Arrangements by Pierce Funeral Home, Canton, OK.

J.D. Marvin was born on August 23, 1938 at Elk City, OK to Robert Charles and Sara Ellia (Ramsey) Marvin. He departed this life Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Oklahoma City, OK.

J.D. graduated from Canton High School and worked for the Oklahoma City Public Schools from 1967 to 1993 in the Maintenance Department. He had also worked for the Canton School system at Canton, OK. Since his retirement he had enjoyed visiting with friends and family and traveling. J.D. was living with his cousin Kenneth D. Ramsey and his wife Nina. Nina was also his caregiver and they enjoyed cutting up and going out to lunch. J.D. also enjoyed attending St. Andrews Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.

J.D. was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include a number of cousins, whom have many fond memories of J.D. and will miss him greatly. Condolences may be made online at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
