Blanche Wright Bateman

Blanche was born in Avery, Oklahoma on July 3, 1922 to the late Semion Wright & Bertha May (Scott) Wright. She passed from this life in Sand Springs on June 14, 2022 at the age of 99 years, 11 months, & 11 days. Blanche was raised by her parents on a farm between Stroud & Drumright. She attended school at Stroud and was a graduate of Stroud High School. She married Cleave Alton Bateman on September 22, 1940 & made their home in the Drumright area. They remained together until his death in 1980. Blanche enjoyed quilting, sewing, & playing cards. She was also an avid bowler and was bowling in a league well into her 90's. In addition to her parents & husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Alton Bateman; & 5 brothers and sisters: Erma Hubbard, Dorothy Shaver, Dewey Wright, W.A. Wright, Thelma McAlister.

Her remaining family includes 2 Children: Peggy Stottlemyre & husband Bob of Sand Springs, Don Bateman & wife Nancy of Sapulpa; Daughter-In-Law: Cathy Bateman of Drumright; Grandchildren: Julie & Sean Sellers, Carla & David Daugherty, Tonya Jo & Pat Odell, Jr.' Amber Jo Bateman Baldwin' Barbara & Tom Simunic, Ray Bateman - & Connie Bateman; Great Grandchildren: Candace, Tanner, Brittany, Lexie' Luke' Coda, Dyllan, Casee, Cadee, Justin' Dakota - & James; Great Great Grandchildren: Kynlee, Caselyn, Claye, Kennedy - Brody - & Coriona.
