Graveside funeral rites for Olive resident, Mary Casey, will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 1st at the Highland Cemetery at Oilton, Oklahoma. Rev. George "Marty" Brock, III will officiate. Mary was born a twin in Yale, Oklahoma on March 31, 1948 to the late Clifford Samuel Thurman & Golda Marie (Raines) Thurman. She passed from this life in Tulsa on May 26, 2026 at the age of 78 years, 1 month, & 26 days. Mary was raised & educated in Olive & was a graduate of Olive High School. She married Larry Ray Casey in Drumright on November 22, 1968 & they made their home at Olive. Mary had worked at the Whistle Stop Convenience Store in Drumright for several years. She had also worked in the Cafeteria at Olive Schools until her retirement. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and had a love for butterflies. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2016; 2 sons: Tracy & Larry; Grandson: Liam Crispens; 3 Sisters: Patsy Chandler, Lois Cates, Carol Sams; & a Brother: Carl Thurman.
Her remaining family includes a Daughter: Nicole Ford of Olive; Grandchildren: Keele, Kelsy, Dakota, Jazmyn - & Ava; GREAT Grandchildren: Bently, Corbin, Markie, Jr., Charlie, Elias, Grace, Anna, Clayton, Josie, Ezra - & Emrys; her twin Brother: Larry Thurman of Olive; Sister: Donna Haines of Olive; PLUS numerous Nieces, Nephews - Cousins - & other family members.
