David Lee Barbee

Services for David Lee Barbee were held at 2 pm August 10, 2012 at Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel in Sapulpa. Burial followed at Green Hill Memorial Gardens under direction of Green Hill Funeral Home Chapel.

David (Dave) Kee Barbee was born the fourth of 15 children to James and Evelyn Barbee in Tulsa on March 28, 1938 and passed away on August 8, 2012 in Sapulpa after an extended battle with cancer.

He graduated from Sacred Heart High School in Vinita in 1956.

He met Joyce Lemonds of Vallejo CA. while serving his country and they were married on April 25, 1958. To this union, four children were born.

Dave retired from the Navy in 1976 as a Senior Chief Machinist Mate and returned back to his home state.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Thomas and Evelyn Barbee, daughter Evelyn Nunn, grandsons Eric Nunn & Phillip Barbee, brothers Thomas, James, Larry, and Daniel, and sister Lucy Ann.

Survivors include his wife Joyce Barbee of the home, daughter Joy Helt and her husband Scott of Sand Springs, OK, son Daniel Barbee and his wife Lynn of Sapulpa, OK, son David Barbee and his wife Jimmi of Houston, MO, Ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren, brothers Clarence, Donald, Chris, & Paul, sisters Loretta, Jane, Clare, Marie, & Dorothy, and many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, & friends.
