Sharon Kay Hardison Stafford

Sharon Kay Stafford was born September 5, 1947, to Claude and Thelma Hardison in Bristow, Oklahoma. She departed this life January 24, 2026, at the age of 78.

Sharon graduated from Bowlegs High School with the class of 1965. Sharon Hardison and Lonnie Stafford were united in marriage in 1968. They enjoyed seven years together before Lonnie's passing. Later in life, Sharon and Tony Thompson were married. They parted ways but remained very close friends. She worked several years for Wal-Mart, and, when grandkids started arriving, she opted to stay home to care for them. For many years, she was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Bristow. In recent years, she enjoyed attending online services from Cornerstone Church in Hartshorne and Sequoyah Creek Baptist Church in Broken Arrow.

Sharon is survived by her children, Scott Stafford and wife Amy, Jennifer Galloway and Husband Wes, and Jeffery Stafford; three sisters, Pat Douthit, Terri Vickers, Kim Swan; sister-in-law, JoAnn Johnson; Aunt, Lola Self and Best Friend, Tony Thompson.

Sharon had twelve grandchildren " Dyllon Stafford, Madison Sprague, Nathan Stafford, Keeley Herring, Jordan Galloway, Seth Stafford, Christopher Stafford, Kaleb Stafford, Levi Stafford, Emily Stafford, Hayleigh Stafford, and "Bubba" Dean Mills plus six great grandchildren " Della Stafford," Evelynn Stafford, Owen Stafford, Bennett "Benny" Stafford, Greyson Stafford, and Sophia Stafford as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Larry Hardison and Charles "Butch" Johnson; husband Lonnie Stafford; two nephews, Gary Douthit and Matthew Whitehouse; sister in law Nancy Johnson; brothers in law, Lane Whitehouse, Kenneth "Cotton" Douthit, and Philip Vickers.

The family will forever be grateful for Sapulpa Nursing Center and TruHeart Hospice for the love, compassion, and care they showed our mother!

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Sapulpa Nursing Center, 1310 East Cleveland Avenue, Sapulpa, Oklahoma 74066 in Sharon Stafford's name.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 5, 2026 at the Bristow City Cemetery Pavilion.
