Melody Louise (Jackson) McNew
July 23, 1957 ~ September 18, 2019

Melody Louise McNew was born July 23, 1957 to Glenn and Hazel (Hall) Jackson in Wichita, Kansas. She departed this life September 18, 2019 at the age of 62 years, 1 month and 26 days.

Melody was united in marriage to Steve McNew February 15, 2002. She enjoyed writing poems, crocheting, spending time with her dogs but most of all loving on her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Steve McNew of the Bristow home; three children, Priscilla Rochelle and husband Tony of Bennington, Oklahoma, Angeletta Couch of Kellyville, Oklahoma, Travis Couch and wife Rashane of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; one step daughter, Angela Burgett and husband John of Bristow; four siblings, Shirley Carter of Bristow, Larry Matthews and wife Patty of Bristow, Marilyn Roth and husband Doug of Talala, Oklahoma, Penny Cooper and husband Randy of Bristow; Eleven grandchildren, Nicholas Couch, Reanna Reynolds, Arron Couch, Michael Rochelle, Patrick Couch, Joseph Rochelle, Chasidee Chidester, Toby Rochelle, Jessica Couch, Perry Burgett and Colt Burgett; two great grandchildren, Ember Reynolds and Liam Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
