Thank You For Your Service!

Arthur Eugene Alcorn

alcorn-a-e

September 24, 1946 ~ March 20, 2025

Arthur Alcorn, 78, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was born on September 24, 1946 in Canon City, Colorado, to Opal Tamage Alcorn and Charles D. Alcorn. He died on March 20, 2025 in Broken Arrow. He attended Depew schools and graduated from Depew High School in 1965. He was stationed in Germany and Korea during his service in the U.S. Army in 1966-1968. After returning from the service to Oklahoma, he worked at Fadler's and Trico before joining American Airlines in 1990, where he was employed until he retired in 2009.

Art enjoyed simple things, drinking coffee with family and friends, including several coffee groups at Panera; mowing the trail by the creek behind his house for the enjoyment of his neighbors and dog-walkers; keeping an eye on the sky for the space station and for beautiful sunrises; fishing; and driving his Jeep. He liked listening to the music shows on NPR and enjoyed Charles Schultz's Peanuts characters, especially Snoopy and Woodstock.

He was preceded in death by siblings Jerry, Marlene, Charline, Nancy, and Janet. He is survived by siblings David, Judy, Patsy, Pam, James, and Gary. His family and friends love him dearly and will miss him very much.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00AM, Friday, March 28, 2025, at the Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Bristow City Cemetery.
