Mrs. Bobbie Carolyn Stafford, 82, of Bartlesville, died at 6:55 A.M. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center. Funeral services for Mrs. Stafford will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, February 6, 2017 at the Dewey Church of Christ with Mr. Robert Hamm and J.J. Blevins officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Monday at the Williams Timberhill Cemetery at Welch, Oklahoma directed by the Stumpff Funeral Home and Crematory.

The Stafford family will receive guests for visitation at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Sunday from 2 P.M. until 4 P.M.

In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established and those who wish may send their contributions to Fair Haven Children's Home, 3132 N. Fair Haven Loop, Strafford, Missouri, 65757.

Mrs. Stafford was born at Green Forest, Arkansas on November 8, 1934 the daughter of Robert Edward and Eula Reba (DeBurger) Stephenson. While moving with her family she grew up and received her education in several states and graduated from high school at Afton, Oklahoma in 1954. She was married to Orval Ralph Stafford Sr. on July 4, 1954 at Miami, Oklahoma. They made their home in Afton and then Baxter Springs, Kansas, as well as Needles, California, Denver, Colorado and then back to southeast Kansas. They came to Dewey to make their home in 1968 and then moved to Bartlesville in 1973. Mr. Stafford preceded her in death on July 9, 2012 and she has continued her home here. She had been active with her husband in his Shelter Insurance agency and following his retirement she was employed with Hickman Insurance and Schwegman Insurance. She was a member of the Dewey Church of Christ and a member of the local TOPS group. She loved arts and crafts including painting, sewing, crocheting and knitting.

Mrs. Stafford is survived by one son, Orval “Ralph” Stafford Jr. and wife Vicki of Dewey, one daughter, Beverly Contreras and husband Paul of Bartlesville, one brother, Bruce Edward Stephenson, seven grandchildren, Gregory Stafford, Christopher Stafford, Allan Stafford, Christina Blevins, Nicole Blevins, J.J. Blevins and Robert Stafford Jr., and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Duane Stafford, a brother, Ronald Eugene Stafford, her parents, a great grandson, Zacheri Ryan Stafford and a great granddaughter, Izabella Elizabeth Stafford.
