Ricky Edward Woolman, 68-year-old Vinita resident, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was born on October 1, 1957, in Vinita to Bluford Woolman, Sr. and Dorothy (McGuire) Woolman. Ricky worked for many area hay crews hauling hay in the summer and he cut wood in the winter. He and his brother Bluford were well known hay haulers in the Vinita area.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Bluford B. Woolman, Maxine Woolman, Ann Woolman-Copeland, Jimmy Thomas Woolman, Melton Woolman, Albert Woolman, and a son.
The family includes his three daughters, special nephew, Billy Woolman, special cousin, Amanda Woolman, numerous other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A private service will be held later. Online condolences may be made at www.highsmithfh.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in the care of the Burckhalter-Highsmith Funeral and Cremation Services of Vinita. “Vinita’s only locally family owned and operated funeral home.”
