Jennifer (Rohmiller) Brown, 79-year-old Vinita resident, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas. She was born on September 11, 1946, in Miami, Oklahoma to John S. and Mae (Patrick) Rohmiller. Jennifer attended Sacred Heart Academy in Vinita and later graduated from Vinita High School. She also attended NEO A&M College in Miami. Jennifer worked for 30 years as a social worker for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and retired from there. She was a member of the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Vinita and active with her church community prior to her decline in health. She thoroughly enjoyed being “Nana” to her two grandchildren, Kaylee and Carter.
Preceding her in death includes her parents, husband of many years, John Brown; brother, John P. Rohmiller; and brother-in-law, Charles “Red” West.
The family includes her son, Daniel R. Brown and wife Courtney of Rogers, Arkansas; sisters, Martha (Rohmiller) Perry and husband Gary (Pat) of Nixa, MO, Sheila (Rohmiller) West of Afton; sister in law, Ann Rohmiller of Tulsa, grandchildren, Kaylee Brown and Carter Brown; nieces and nephews, Dr. Randall S. Rohmiller of Carl Junction, MO John C. Rohmiller of Tulsa, Stephanie (Rohmiller) Gilman of Edmond, Jeff Perry of Nixa, MO, Jana (Perry) Anderson of Springfield, MO, and Ron Revis of Ozawkie, KS.
The visitation for family and friends will be February 14, 2026 at the Burckhalter-Highsmith Chapel from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Mass will follow at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church at 1:30 PM with Rev. M.E. Cashen. Graveside committal will be at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
