July 28, 1943 - September 16, 2016

June Delvina McClain, Lawton, was born July 28, 1943 in Walters, Oklahoma to Edgar and Thelma Davis. She passed away peacefully September 16, 2016 at the age of 73. A visitation will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 4pm-8pm at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 10:00am at the First Baptist Church in Walters. Burial will follow at the Walters Cemetery under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service. June was raised and grew up in Walters. She married Harvey Smart and to this union three children were born: Bobby, Lori and Eddie Smart. After Harvey passed, she was fortunate to fall in love again. In October 1981 she married James McClain; they made their home in Lawton at Wichita Mountain Estates. She and Jim were second parents to their granddaughters Nikki and Melissa and helped raise them. June was a very kind hearted woman who opened her heart and home to everyone and never met a stranger. She worked at Goodyear for 22 years before retiring. June loved life and her dogs; playing dominoes; and spending time with her great-grandbabies. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Nadine Davis; her first husband, Harvey Smart; great-grandson, Gatlin Geionety; brothers, GM Bill Davis and Eddie Davis.Survivors include her husband, James McClain, of the home; daughter, Lori Smart, of the home; son, Bobby Smart and wife Janice; sons, Eddie Smart and Lars Kagovere; god-son, Clarence 'Scooter' Bivens; granddaughters, Melissa Geionety and Nikki Braden; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Patty Knight and Robin Riddles; and special friend and honorary daughter, Nikki Swearingen.
