Nell Jean Wilson Peters

Jean Peters was born on January 26, 1935 in Kemp, TX to George H. and Rosie [Tanner] Wilson. She died on December 12, 2014 in Lawton, OK with her loving and devoted family at her side.

Jean was raised and attended school in Wellman, TX. After attending high school, Jean worked as a housekeeper where she met Dale Burkett. They were married in 1958 and made their home in Odessa.

After Dale's death, she married Walter Peters in 1994.

She was a devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, as well as a friend you could always count on.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Dale Burkett and Pete Peters; six brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her children, Cheryl Riley and husband Karl, Sheila Frazier and husband Rodney, David Burkett and wife Deborah, all of Lawton, and Daniel Burkett and wife Candice of Marlow; grandchildren, James Frazier and wife Trish of Lawton, Kristopher Riley of Boston, MA, Amy Munhall and husband Alan of Lawton, Matthew Riley of Lawton, Dale Burkett of Virginia Beach, VA, Johnathan Burkett and Elizabeth Burkett of Marlow, April Fuchs of Lawton, Amanda Scott and husband Patrick of Lawton, and Kenneth Beaver and wife Tiffany, also of Lawton; great grandchildren, Samantha Alexander, Timothy Munhall, Nicole Fuchs, Jaylynn Beaver, Mason Scott, Dustin Johnson, and Brandon Batterson, all of Lawton; a great-great grandchild, Jayden Frazier of Lawton; sisters, Joyce and Sue; and brothers, Burnice, Glen and Dale.
