© Woodward News Woodward, Oklahoma February 13, 2013 Claude Ray Kaufman Woodward, Okla. - Claude Ray Kaufman, 62, of Woodward, OK, passed away February 4, 2013 in OKC. He was born in Lawton, OK to Clarence Raymond Kaufman and Alta Loree Green Kaufman on January 16, 1951. Claude proudly served in the United States Navy. He worked in the oil field and then opened his business Charg-N-Start in Woodward, OK. Claude loved his work and he helped the whole community. Claude is survived by his first daughter, Tisha Kaufman Bremner and husband Kendall, granddaughter Breanne Kaufman, great granddaughter Lyla Millet and first wife Sharon Michaud, all of Maine. Daughters, Kyla Kaufman of OKC, Casey Kaufman Nester and husband David, grandsons William Cole Nester, Wade Garrett Nester and Gabriel Raye Nester of Yukon, OK, and second wife Audrey Caruthers Kaufman of OKC. Sisters, Norma Kennedy Bennett of Lawton, OK, Louise Winterhalter of Houston, TX, Sandra Williams and husband Fred of Las Vegas. Brothers, Loyd Kaufman and wife Bonita of Enid, OK, Calvin Kaufman and wife Victoria Kaufman of Anderson, SC, and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Dorse Abe Green and Susie Hart Green, paternal grandparents Walter Burch Kaufman and Texanna Agnes McCurry Kaufman, his parents and brother, Raymond Floyd Kaufman. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at St. John's Episcopal Church - Parish Hall (923 Texas Street, Woodward, OK 73801). The family will bury Claude's cremains at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton, OK. |
