George Jennings Jr.

Birth date: July 14, 1957
Death date: December 31, 2014

George Jennings, Jr, Lawton, was born July 14, 1957 in Oakland, CA to George Jennings, Sr and Joyce Copeland. He died December 31, 2014 in Hugo, OK at the age of 57.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 1:00pm at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend James Gorham officiating.

George lived in Lawton and at an early age became a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

He graduated from Eisenhower High School in 1976.

After high school he attended job corp where he learned to cook. He then attended Okmulgee Tech where he obtained his apprentice certification. He moved to Dallas where he worked as an attendant at a gas station until he went to work for a microchip factory.

He became disabled and moved back to Lawton.

In his free time George enjoyed playing dominoes and cards, drawing, and spending time with his friends and family.

He was gracious and generous and would give you the last dime he had.

He was a member of Hugo Chapel Baptist Church in Hugo.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Helen Armster; brother, Quincy Webster, Jr; maternal grandmother, Estella Copeland; maternal grandfather, Boise Copeland.

Survivors include his sisters, Dorita M. Smith, V. Mae Gamble, Estella Bushnell and husband Gerald, Quincetta Galbreath-Holland, Deborah Liggins- William all of Lawton, and Lenora Oliver of Arizona; brothers, Walter Webster and wife Tony of Hawaii, Allen Webster and Allan Webster both of Hugo; Aunts, Juanita Perkins, Lawton and Peggy Paden, Oakland, Ca; Uncle Billy Copeland, Berkley, Ca. He also has many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service 6210 NW Cache Road Lawton Oklahoma 73505

1:00 pm on Friday, January 16, 2015 at New Zion Baptist Church 2101 SW N. H. Jones Ave Lawton Ok 73501
