He has resided in this vicinity with his parents ever since the spring following the opening of this country until after his marriage he moved on his farm near Holliday where he has since resided until taken sick and it was thought best that he be taken to the home of his parents where after an illness of three months he passed away, just as the sun was sinking. All was done for him that loving hands and kind friends could do but all in vain. The Lord called him home, his work on earth is done. The funeral was held Oct. 21st in the open air in front of Pecan school house, the attendance being so large the room was not large enough to accomodate them, and the large procession showed the high esteem in which he was held. Rev. Deyo officiated. The pall bearers, all friends of the deceased were: Owen King, Clarence Roberts, Roy Peters, John Richardson, John Slobotney and Lorel Fairchilds.
He was laid to rest in Pecan cemetery.
