Charlie Lee Shultz

Funeral service for Charlie Lee Shultz, 65, Duncan, will be at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday in the Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. K. Laverne Stinson, Pastor of the Church of the Nazarene, Harrah, OK officiating. Mr. Shultz died Sunday in a Lawton nursing home.

Burial with military honors will be in Letitia Cemetery, East of Lawton. He was born May 28, 1941 in Lawton to Samuel Roosevelt and Alta W. [Riley] Shultz.

He graduated from Central High in 1958 and Oklahoma State University in 1964.

He married Sandra Sue Morris on January 1, 1964 in Lawton.

He later joined the US Army and graduated from Fort Sill Artillery Officer Candidate School, and was assigned as a recruiter.

After his service in the Army, he served as an OSU Extension Agent, and was a Farm Management Instructor with Great Plains Vo-Tech from 1983 until he retired in 2000.

He is survived by his wife of the home; a son, James and his wife Dr. Amy Shultz M.D. of Yukon, OK and two grandchildren, Gabriel and Leslie. He is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn McQuain of Lawton, OK; Reva Roach and husband Doyle of Cache, OK; a sister-in-law, Peggy Shultz of Tuttle, OK and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Albert Lee Shultz. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 1320 NW Homestead Drive, Lawton, OK 73505 or to The Komen Foundation, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
