Juanita Munn
May 2, 1915 - January 13, 2018
Juanita Munn leaves us her legacy of love with her passing on January 13, 2018. Born May 2, 1915, on a farm near Tatum, Oklahoma, she met and married Willie Munn and moved to Lawton, Oklahoma in 1951. She is preceded in death by her husband Willie Munn; her parents, her five sisters and five children. Juanita is the mother of ten children, thirty grandchildren, sixty-eight great grandchildren, forty-six great, great grandchildren and nine great, great, great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and many great friends and acquaintances. She enjoyed many years of fishing, gardening, canning and spending time with her five sisters, with whom she shared a very close relationship. Union Baptist Church was her church home for 64 years. She was faithfully served in the church, as Deaconess for 40 years, teaching in Children's Sunday School for 20 years and as Children's Sunday School Superintendent for 15 years. Her love for God, playful personality and joyful spirit left an impact on everyone she met. And her family was very important to her.
Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery.
