Gladys L. Miller

Lawton - The funeral for Gladys L. Miller, 87, will be 1 PM today at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. The Rev. James Roberts will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery.

She was born January 15, 1913, in Dexter, Texas and died Friday, June 9, 2000, in Enid. She had moved from Texas to Lawton in 1933.

On October 12, 1935, she married Evert R. Miller at Anadarko. At one time, she was manager of the catalog sales at Montgomery Ward. She later worked for Popular Furniture as a saleslady. She was also a homemaker. They lived on a farm south of Lawton for 58 years. Ill health forced them to a nursing home. She lived at Methodist Home of Enid until her death. She was a member of Liberty Heights Chapel.

Surviving are one daughter, Marilyn Malone of Enid; one step - daughter, Nettle Johnsey of Geronimo; one granddaughter; two step grandchildren; two great - grandchildren; and five step great - grandchildren.
