Lucy Lucia [Orot] Toler


Birth date: February 4, 1935
Death date: November 22, 2014

Lucy Lucia Toler, Lawton, was born February 4, 1935 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Pedro and Ciriaca [Ortiz] Orot. She died peacefully at home on November 22, 2014 at the age of 79.

Lucy grew up in Honolulu and graduated from Farrington High School.

After high school she enlisted in the Navy Reserves. She then received an Associate's Degree in Accounting.

Lucy was an accomplished artist and loved painting still life. She also enjoyed singing, pottery, fishing and playing the piano. She also had a passion for helping others and donated generously to numerous charities.

Survivors include her husband, William Toler, USA Retired; sons: John W. Staggs and wife Cecilia, Michael C. Staggs and wife Deana, Robert S. Staggs and wife Joyce, Patrick A. Staggs and wife Janice, and Andrew J. Staggs and wife Dena; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and numerous friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Marsha Loviscek for the special care she gave Lucy at her bedside.
