Ruth Margarete [Friedrich] Thompson

Ruth Margarete Thompson was born in Wertheim, Germany on September 22, 1954 to Herrman and Friedl [Hartmann] Friedrich. She died on June 23, 2012 at her home in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 57.

Ruth was raised and attended school in Wertheim, Germany. While living in Germany she met and soon married Dalton Thompson Jr on July 16, 1976.

Ruth and her husband decided to live in Lawton, Oklahoma permanently in 1989 after several years of traveling between the United States and Germany courtesy of the military.

Ruth was a longtime employee of Fort Sill National Bank until she retired in February of 2012.

Ruth was a loving and caring person that truly enjoyed her family, friends, and co-workers. She's remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and true friend.

Survivors include her husband Dalton Thompson Jr. of Lawton, OK, her daughter Samantha M. Jones of Memphis, TN, her son Dalton W. Thompson of Lawton, OK, her mother Friedl Friedrich of Wertheim, Germany, her brother Wilhelm Friedrich of Wertheim, Germany and her five beloved grandchildren Ricky, Heaven, Shawn, Briyana, and Olivia.
