Luther "Lee" Smith

August 12, 1939 - December 31, 2017

Luther "Lee" Smith, age 78, of Lawton passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton.
Lee was born on August 12, 1939 in Killeen, Texas to Willie and Lila Smith. He gave very generously of his time. It was normal for him to give. He was a gentle man, slow to anger and had a huge heart. Lee was known to help the ladies with their car problems, always working on them for free with no exceptions. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States and the Western Swing Music Society of the Southwest. In his free time, Lee built model ships and airplanes but he loved nothing more than dancing, he could waltz like a pro.
Lee is survived by his daughter, Lila McIntyre of Chickasha, Oklahoma; his two sons, Brian Keith Smith and Willie Ernest Smith, both of Granbury, Texas; six grandchildren, Carol Marie DeAmbrose, Shonda Lee DeAmbrose, Brian Keith Smith Jr., Steven Andy Smith, Rachel Smith and Reva May Smith; one step grandson, Charles Vernon Morris; six great grandchildren; three siblings, Baylus Smith, Kaylen Smith and Ruth Owens and three step siblings, Bo Bozyk, Michale Hudson and Holly Townsend along with numerous other relatives and close friends.
