Gerard "Jerry" Uythoven

Gerard Uythoven, 67, of Wichita Falls, died, Monday, June 18, 2012.

The funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2012, in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Interment with full military honors will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma.

Arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

A son of the late Cornelia [DeVette] and Garrett Uythoven, Gerard was born August 6, 1944, in Genderin, North Province, Netherlands.

He and Jenny Kay Rumple were married December 31, 1965, in Minot, North Dakota.

He served his country in the United States Air Force prior to his retirement.

Mr. Uythoven was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cassandra Hemming, in October of 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Jenny Rumple Uythoven, of Wichita Falls; son, Richard Uythoven and wife, Sylvia, of Germany, son-in-law, Karlile Hemming, of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Courtney Uythoven, Marissa Uythoven and Brianna Uythoven, all of Germany, and Keithen Hemming and Kevin Hemming both of Wichita Falls; great-grandchild, Danielle Hemming, of Wichita Falls; brothers, Anton Uythoven and Pete Uythoven, both of Florida; sisters, Ali Spoelman and Jo Katerburg, both of Michigan; several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at the funeral home.
