Gerald William Udell

Gerald William Udell was born on November 28, 1944 in Seattle, Washington to Enos and Ethel [Palmer] Udell. He died on May 3, 2010 in Lawton.

Gerald was raised and attended school in Seattle.

He joined the Army on March 20, 1979 and spent 2 years in Vietnam. During his 21 years in the service, Gerald was also stationed in Germany, Korea, and finally in Hawaii where he retired in 1990.

He married Vickie Hair on May 4, 1979 in Coeur D Alene, ID. The couple moved to Lawton in 1991.

He worked a number of years for the Lawton Constitution and retired in December of 2009 for health reasons.

Gerald enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting and fishing, but he was always happiest just spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by parents and one sister, Eva Burton.

Survivors include his wife Vickie, daughter, son, 3 grandchildren, one brother one sister, and two brothers-in-law.
