Roy Allan Strange

Roy Allan Strange passed away February 7, 2016 in Lawton, Oklahoma at the age of 70.

He was a resident of Fletcher.

Mr. Strange was born April 15, 1945 in Elgin, Oklahoma to Guy and Vera Louise Bowling Strange.

He grew up and graduated school in Elgin. Mr. Strange joined the United States Army in 1964 and served one year in Korea from 1965 to 1966. He was honorably discharged in 1966. Mr.

Strange helped his dad in his house moving business and worked for Western Union for 22 years before going to work for TDS at Cyril in 1982 as the outdoor drop. He had also be employed with Patco.

Mr. Strange is survived by his loving wife Francies M. Kuntz Strange, whom he married on November 16, 1998; their daughters Tammy L. McClellin and her fiancé Rick Patton of Ashland, Tennessee and Jenifer R. Dyer and her husband Lee of Sterling; grandchildren Larry and Mariah McClellin of Oklahoma City, Allene Goodman and her husband Mike of Elgin, Cody Gann and his fiancé Allie Sierra of Tulsa , Skyler, Allex and Johnny Gann of Sterling, his sister-in-law Jackie Strange of Hobart ; his brother-in-Law Dick Bartram; 3 great grandchildren Cayden, Colt and Xylen and many aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Vera Strange; Brother Charles Strange; Brother Donald Strange, and Sister Marion Bartram and by his good buddy Elmer Barnett.

He was a long time member of Cowboy Church of Apache.

Friends are invited to attend Memorial Services on February 15th, 2016 at 10:30 at Cowboy Church on Hwy 62 of Apache . Inurnment will be held at Ft. Sill National Cemetery, Monday, February 15, 2016 at 9am in honor of his Military Service to our country.

In-lieu of flowers donations are excepted to pay for funeral expenses. Arrangements are under the direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service in Lawton.
