Terry L. Quisenberry Sr

Funeral for retired Chief Warrant Officer 3 Terry L. Quisenberry Sr., 65, Lawton, will be at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Becker Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Joe Price, pastor, Denton Baptist Church, Marlow, officiating.

Chief Warrant Officer 3 Quisenberry died Monday, Dec. 7, 2009, at his home.

Burial with full military honors will be at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin.

He was born Jan. 16, 1944, in Tulsa, to Thomas and Frances Ruth Weaver Quisenberry.

He married Phyllis Wayland in Tulsa on Oct. 27, 1963.

He served as secretary for the Lawton Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans Association and was a member of the Comanche County Veterans Association. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America. After his military retirement, he was employed by the Lawton Housing Authority.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; three children and their spouses: Lisa and Charles Ashley, Bartlesville; Terry and Shelly Quisenberry, Marlow; and Patrick and Marisa Quisenberry, Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren: Dustin Moore, Thomas Ashley, Kaelyn Jung, Tabitha Ashley, Jimmy Quisenberry, Tyrell Ashley, Matthew Quisenberry, Travis Ashley and Valin Quisenberry; a brother and his wife, Jerry and Tanya Quisenberry, Owasso; a sister-in-law, Colleen Quisenberry, Lawton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Michael Quisenberry; and a sister, Connie Medlock.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Oklahoma, P.O. Box 2074, Lawton 73502.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
