Perry Stricklin

August 24, 1933 - June 21, 2019

Perry Neal Stricklin, Sr., age 85 of Tuttle, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, June 21, 2019. Perry was born August 24, 1933, in Oklahoma City, OK. He grew up in South OKC and attended Capitol Hill High School. At the age of 18, he joined the United States Navy and proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict for four years. While in the service he married Patsy Rork also of South OKC. They were married on August 2, 1952 in Yuma, Arizona. Together Perry and Patsy raised three sons, Perry, Jr., Ray and Craig. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, they made their first home in OKC and later moved and lived in various other towns in Oklahoma and Texas.
Perry worked most all of his life as a professional Salesman. At one time or another he sold just about anything you can imagine. For many years he made and sold horse trailers and he had his own business called "Strick Industries." In 1992, he moved to the Tri City area close to Tuttle and Newcastle. In his later years, just to stay busy he helped his son Ray, sell used cars at Ray's Car Sales in Newcastle.
Throughout his life, Perry enjoyed being in the outdoors. He especially enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. For many years he was a member of Eagle Heights Baptist Church in South OKC. For the past several years he has been attending Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle.
He was preceded in death by:
Parents, Harvey and Lois Stricklin.
Wife, Patsy on Dec. 5, 2011.
Step Brother, Al Stricklin.
He is survived by:
Three sons, Perry Stricklin, Jr., of Tuttle, Ray Stricklin of Tuttle, Craig Stricklin and wife Lana of Mart, Texas.
Three grandchildren, Ryan Stricklin and wife Jessica of Edmond, Aubrey Mathis and husband Robert of Mart, TX, Chelsea Ferguson and husband Michael of Mart, TX.
Seven great grandchildren.
His companion, Sherry Mohler of War Acres, OK.
One sister-in-law, Judy Rork of OKC,
And many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at Woodland Hills Baptist Church in Newcastle, OK. Interment will be at Ft. Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK. Visitation will be on Monday, June 24, 2019 at Wilson-Little Funeral Home, 3132 Tri City Ave. Newcastle, OK.
