Raymond Lee Staeden

March 06, 1931 - December 10, 2017

Raymond Lee Staeden, Sr., 86, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 10, 2017, in Dallas, Texas.
Raymond Staeden was born March 6, 1931 in Roswell, New Mexico to Jeffrey and Bessie Staeden. He was the youngest of 12 children and attended school at St. Peter Catholic church in his home town.
Raymond served in the U.S. Army as an honored decorated solider; Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal.
He married the love of his life Imogene Staeden on August 13, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico. They moved across the country where Raymond often held two jobs to provide for his growing family of 8 children and many extended family members throughout the years.
Raymond was jack of all trades and acquired an array of skillsets in meat cutting, construction, cooking and backyard mechanics. In 1989 he retired from Federal Civil Service at Fort Sill Commissary as a master meat cutter. His love of fishing and gardening wasn't enough to keep him busy and served as the custodian at Calvary Baptist, our family church for many years. He took pride in everything he did.
He survived by his children; Robin Alton of Missouri, Raymond Lee Staeden, Jr (Tony) of Arkansas, Jeffrey Staeden of Arkansas, Kerry Staeden of Oklahoma and Wendy-Jo Staeden of Texas. He was blessed with 24 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
