Robert Paul Singer

October 14, 1949 ~ May 31, 2020

Robert Paul Singer was born October 14, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois to William and Bernice Singer. He passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2020, at his home in Duncan. He was 70.
Viewing will be on Wednesday, June 10, from 9:00-6:00 P.M at Whitt Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be on June 10 from 4:00-6:00 P.M. A memorial service is scheduled on Friday, June 12, at 9:00 A.M. in the Whitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Randy Southerland officiating. Inurnment will follow at Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Whitt Funeral Home/Oakcrest Cremation Center.
Robert graduated from Bremen High School in Midlothian, Illinois. He served in the United States Army from 1966 thru 1974, obtaining the rank of Sergeant (SP5), grade E5. During his time in the Army, he obtained his Bachelor's degree. On November 17, 1990, he married Mirta "Luci" Flores in Los Angeles, California.
He was a jokester and loved telling corny dad jokes. He loved fishing, his dogs, and watching baseball and his Chicago Bulls. He was a stubborn bull with a bit of a temper but was a great man. He was a Vietnam veteran, a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be truly missed.
Robert is survived by his wife of 29 years, Luci; children: Tommy Singer of Peoria, IL; Robin Singer of Chicago, IL; Richard Singer and Silvia Barrios of Los Angeles, CA; Amanda and Ralph Nieto of San Dimas, CA; Alex Singer and Liana Quijada of Los Angeles; Beckie and David Eason of Wichita, KS; Josef and Marevna Singer of Los Angeles; grandchildren: Jayde Ramos, Mia Freeman, Gary Eason, Holly Eason, Rumi Singer-Barrios, Balor Singer; sister, Bernadine Hamilton of Chicago; and sister-in-law, Marsha Singer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Singer; and brother-in-law, Tom Hamilton.
