Robert Russell

April 17, 1928 - January 5, 2021

Robert Max Russell was born April 17, 1928 in Mesa, Arizona to Robert and Maude Maye Russell. He died in Yukon, Oklahoma on January 5, 2021. Mr. Russell was a true patriot. He spent 3 years in the United States Air Force, 13 months in the United States Marine Corp, and a career in the United States Coast Guard. Robert retired from the US Coast Guard in 1974 as a Chief Gunner's Mate.
Mr. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Karen Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Leta Russell; sons, Ron Russell and wife Wanda, and Randy Russell and wife Linda; his grandchildren, David Lund, Teresa Butler, Robert Russell, and Robyn Anderson; as well as his great grandchildren, Bailey and Kayla.
A service honoring the life of Mr. Russell will be at 2:00pm on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, OK with military honors.
