John Ashley Royal

August 12, 1929 - May 04, 2019

John Ashley Royal, age 89 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away on May 4, 2019 in Guthrie. John was born on August 12, 1929 in Mooltrie, Georgia.
John served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He had lived in Guthrie the past 10 years and previously lived in Immokalee, Florida. He enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Survivors include his three children, Linda Burdick and husband Ken of Edmond, Brenda L'hommediau of Bethany and Carl Turpin of Guthrie. He is also survived by four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Carolyn Buttry one sister, two brothers and a grandson, Justin Culbertson.
Interment will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hayes Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Hayes Funeral Home in Guthrie.
