Buddy Rowden

December 22, 1949 - February 01, 2019

John James Franklin "Buddy" Rowden, 69, of Chickasha, died, Friday, February 1, 2019, in Duncan. The son of John Edgar Rowden and Kathryn Louise (Bayliss) Rowden, he was born December 22, 1949, in Oklahoma City.
Buddy spent most of his life in Chickasha. He was a carpenter and roofer by trade. In his spare time, he loved spending time drinking coffee with his friends, going to the casino, riding motorcycles, and fishing.
He served his country in the Marines during the Vietnam Era and was awarded the Purple Heart.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Edgar Rowden; his mother, Kathryn Louise Whitford; his stepfather, Don Whitford; and a sister, Lynda Malone.
Buddy is survived by numerous children; his brothers and sisters, Gloria and Nell Gurette of Maine, Jessie Grant of Oklahoma City, Mary and Tommy Doshier of Blanchard, Joe and Lynn Rowden of Maine, Nikki and Tom Neel of Norman, Tony and Tina Rowden of Ada, Kenneth and Sonya Whitford of Blanchard; a brother-in-law, Leon Malone, Sr. of Rush Springs; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other loved ones and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial will follow in the Fort Sill National Cemetery at Elgin. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
