Riley L. Doc Shawn

RILEY D. SHAWN DIES AT DUNCAN

Riley D. Shawn, of Fletcher, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday in a Duncan hospital following an extended illness.

Services were schedules for 3 p.m. today in the Baptist church with Rev. James R. Roach, pastor, officiating.

Born November 22, 1869 in Tennessee, Mr. Shawn came to Texas from Tennessee. He moved to Oklahoma in 1909 and has lived at Fletcher for the past 20 years. His wife died in 1939.

Survivors include three sons, Homer Shawn, Fletcher; Oscar Shawn, Duncan; and William Shawn, O'Brien, Ore.; 22 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Burial in Fletcher cemetery will be under the direction of Wisener Funeral home.
